Resistance furnace insulation

1. Preliminary preparation

Before the insulation construction and installation of the resistance furnace, a professional team will first conduct a detailed assessment of the structure, size and working environment of the resistance furnace to ensure that the selected insulation materials can meet the insulation, heat insulation and fire prevention requirements in its high-temperature working environment. Common insulation materials include aluminum silicate fiber, rock wool, ceramic fiber, etc. These materials have good high temperature resistance and low thermal conductivity. At the same time, prepare the tools and equipment required for construction, such as cutting machines, hot air guns, insulation nail guns, sealant guns, measuring tools, etc., and check whether personal protective equipment is complete and effective.

2.Insulation layer installation

  1. Basic treatment : After thoroughly cleaning the outer wall of the resistance furnace, remove oil, rust and loose materials to ensure that the insulation material can fit closely to the surface of the furnace.

  2. Insulation material laying      : According to the design drawings, the insulation material is laid layer by layer on the outer wall of the resistance furnace, and each layer is overlapped with a staggered joint to reduce the thermal bridge effect and improve the insulation effect. For complex parts such as pipes and valves of the resistance furnace, customized insulation blocks are used or cut on site to adapt to the shape  to ensure that there are no missing areas in the insulation layer.

  3. Fixing and sealing : Use insulation nails and high temperature resistant glue to firmly fix the insulation material on the outer wall of the resistance  furnace. After laying, seal all gaps and fill them with sealant or high  temperature resistant tape to prevent heat leakage.

3. Special parts treatment

Special reinforcement treatment is carried out on the key parts of the resistance furnace, such as the furnace door and heating elements. A double-layer insulation structure can be used at the furnace door, and a high-temperature resistant sealing strip is installed at the door gap to ensure that the furnace door fits tightly when closed to reduce heat loss. The thickness of the insulation layer around the heating element needs to be increased to prevent heat from being directly transferred to the surrounding environment.

4. Construction Completion and Inspection

  1. Appearance inspection : After the insulation layer is installed, conduct an appearance  inspection to ensure that the surface is flat, undamaged, and uniform in  color. Repair any problems found in a timely manner.

  2. Quality acceptance : Invite relevant personnel to conduct quality acceptance and record relevant data to ensure that the thickness, density and  installation quality of the insulation layer meet the design requirements.  At the same time, the fire resistance of the insulation material is tested  to ensure that it meets safety requirements.

  3. Safety protection : According to customer needs, a metal protective layer such as  aluminum plate, stainless steel plate, etc. can be added to the insulation layer to improve the durability and aesthetics of the insulation layer. At the same time, safety warning signs are set to remind operators to pay attention to safety.

  4. Site cleaning : After the construction is completed, clean up the site in time,  remove excess insulation materials and construction tools, and keep the environment clean.
