Thermal engineering pipeline insulation
1. Construction Preparation
Site survey and design confirmation : Before construction begins, conduct a detailed site survey of the thermal engineering pipeline to confirm key information such as pipeline layout, diameter, length, and operating environment. Based on this information, combined with the characteristics of insulation materials and design requirements, develop a detailed construction plan and material procurement list.
Material preparation and inspection : Purchase insulation materials that meet the design requirements, such as rock wool, rubber-plastic insulation materials, aluminum silicate fiber, etc., as well as necessary fixings (such as insulation nails, metal mesh), adhesives or tapes, etc. All materials must undergo quality inspection to ensure compliance with relevant standards and specifications.
Safety measures : Ensure that safety measures are in place at the construction site, including wearing personal protective equipment, setting up safety warning signs, preparing emergency response equipment, etc., to ensure safety during the construction process.
2. Pipeline surface treatment
Cleaning and rust removal : Thoroughly clean the surface of thermal engineering pipelines to remove oil, dust and rust to ensure that the insulation materials can fit tightly.
Anti-corrosion treatment : According to the design requirements, the pipeline shall be subjected to necessary anti-corrosion treatment, such as coating with anti-corrosion paint, to improve the durability and thermal insulation effect of the pipeline.
3. Insulation layer construction
Measuring and cutting : Use measuring tools to accurately measure the size of the pipe, and cut the insulation material according to the measurement results to ensure that the material can completely wrap the pipe and the interface is tightly fitted.
Fixing and pasting : Use insulation nails, metal mesh or special adhesive/tape to fix the insulation material on the pipe. For loose materials such as rock wool, you need to lay the metal mesh first and then fix it with insulation nails; for rubber and plastic insulation materials, you can directly use special tape to stick it.
Multi-layer insulation : If the design requires a multi-layer insulation structure, it must be constructed layer by layer, and each layer should be tightly fitted to avoid gaps.
Gap and interface treatment : For the gaps and interfaces between insulation materials, use special sealing materials or tapes to seal them to prevent heat leakage.
4. Special parts treatment
Valves and flanges : Valves, flanges and other accessories require special treatment and should be wrapped with detachable insulation devices to ensure the continuity and maintainability of the insulation layer.
Brackets and hangers : At pipe brackets and hangers, insulation materials must be used to wrap the contact areas between the brackets and the pipes to reduce the thermal bridge effect.
5. Construction Completion and Inspection
Clean up the site : After the construction is completed, clean up the construction site and remove excess insulation materials, construction tools and other debris.
Quality inspection : Conduct a comprehensive inspection of the construction quality of the insulation layer, including the fixation of the insulation material, gap treatment, overall structural stability, etc. Ensure that the insulation layer is free of damage and gaps and meets the design requirements.
Acceptance and record keeping : Invite relevant personnel to conduct acceptance to ensure that the construction quality of the insulation layer meets the standards. At the same time, keep good construction records, including the type, quantity, installation location and other information of the insulation materials, for subsequent maintenance and repair.
